We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes how we collect, use, maintain, protect, disclose and otherwise process (“Process”), information that alone or in combination with other information in our possession could be used to identify you (“Personal Data”) that we collect on or through the Service and in email, text, and other electronic communications sent through or in connection with the Service.

 

Any capitalized terms not otherwise defined in this Policy have the meaning assigned to them in our Terms of Service. We use common industry standards to safeguard the data we collect. To understand how we collect and use Personal Data, we have to differentiate between Personal Data of or about users who register to use the Service (“User Information”) and Personal Data of or about their clients received from the third party law practice management platform, Clio (“Client Data”).

CHILDREN

 

The Service is intended for adult use only. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children.

 

If we learn we have collected or received Personal Data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you are a parent and believe that your child under the age of 13 has accessed and/or used the Service and provided personally identifiable information to us, please contact us at privacy@myfirmdata.com. INFORMATION THAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

 

We do not collect, use, store, or share Client Data. Information about your firm and your clients is always private and confidential. When you use the Service, your information is transmitted from the Clio servers to your computer via secured APIs. This data is accessed while running the reports through our service. Only information available to a user through Clio will be available to that user through the Service. Client Data is not stored by the Service. Client Data is stored only on your local device and in the Clio servers subject to their privacy policy.

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE COLLECT IT

 

We collect Personal Data as follows:

 

Personal Data You Provide. We collect information you directly give us on our Service through form fields in the Service. You are generally not obliged to provide your personal information, however please note that we may be unable to provide some or all of our services to you if you refuse to provide certain Personal Data. When you register or log into your Account using your Clio login, you authorize us to access certain Clio account information, which is specified to you during that authentication process. We collect your name, email address, phone number, address, your firm’s name and may also collect biographical information about you stored in your Clio user profile, such as your photo.

 

Other Personal Data that you may provide us directly through or in connection with the Service includes:
  • Details of transactions you carry out through the Service and of the fulfillment of your orders. You may be required to provide financial and shipping information while placing an order through the Service.
  • Information you provide when you request customer support through the Service.
  • Information that you provide when you request to update your password.
  • Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete.
  • Information that you provide when you fill out a form through the Service.
  • Information you provide when you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.
  • Information that you provide when you apply for a job with us.
  • Any other Personal Data that you input into the Service for any reason.

 

Information That We Receive From Others. We may receive information about you from other sources. We may add this to information we get from this Service. To the extent required by applicable laws, we will not collect personal information about you from third party sources unless you either give us or the relevant third party your consent to same.

DO NOT TRACK DISCLOSURE

 

The Service does not support “Do Not Track” browser settings and do not currently participate in any “Do Not Track” framework that would enable us to respond to Do Not Track signals.

 

THIRD-PARTY INFORMATION COLLECTION THROUGH THE SERVICES

 

Some features of the Service are served by third parties (“Third-Party Service”). These third parties, include but not limited to our third party mailing list provider, payment processors, authentication partners, cloud storage provider, analytics provider, shipping partners, vendors and backend support providers. Aggregated Information: We may aggregate Personal Data and use the aggregated information to analyze the effectiveness of our Service, to improve and add features to our Service, and for other similar purposes. In addition, from time to time, we may analyze the general behavior and characteristics of users of our Service and share aggregated information like general user statistics with prospective business partners. We may collect aggregated information through the Service, through cookies, and through other means described in this Privacy Policy.

 

We do not access, store, collect, harvest, use, communicate, or sell Client Data.

 

SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

       We do not (and by design cannot) share Client Data with any third party.

 

WHERE, HOW AND HOW LONG WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION

 

We encrypt all collected information and store it securely in the United States using third-party vendors who implement industry standard security measures. All password information is hashed. By using the Service, you authorize us to receive, process, transfer, and store your information in and to the United States.

 

Personal Data we collect will be retained for so long as it is reasonably required for business and legal purposes. As a general rule, we will only retain this information for the period during which we are providing the Services to you, and for a period of up to three years afterwards.

 

CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS

 

Where cross-border transfers of data are necessary, we will take reasonable steps to safeguard the privacy of your Personal Data. These steps may include implementing standard contractual clauses where recognized by law, obtaining your consent, or other lawful means of transferring Personal Data.

    • Personal Data of a child.
  • Third parties: We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way.

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, ( the “Shine The Light” law), California residents who use the Service may request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of Personal Data (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared Personal Data in the immediately preceding calendar year. California Minors. California residents who have an account with us and who are under 18 years of age have the right to request deletion of any data that such users post on the Service, if any. To request deletion of such data,

We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Service, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from all our systems (e.g., backups, etc.).
